LAG “Bura” manager Ana Mamić was selected as a member of the EU CAP Network thematic group “Valuing Farmers’ Wider Contributions to Society”. The first meeting of the thematic group was held on 26.02.2025 in the EU CAP Network building in Brussels. The group consists of 40 members, Croatia was also represented by Zoran Rajn from the Center for Social Innovation and Sustainable Development (CEDIOR) from Zagreb. Accommodation and travel costs are covered by the EU CAP Network.
The objectives of the thematic group are:
*To jointly explore the wider social contributions of farmers as well as existing narratives about agriculture.
*To gather insights, experiences, examples of good practice and innovative ideas on how the role of farmers can be better recognized.
*To share relevant examples and case studies from across the EU.
