LAG leader Vladimir Dedić mag.oec. spec. f & b and expert associate for international cooperation Ana Škara, LL.M, attended LINC 2017 conference in Luxembourg from 09.05-11.05.2017. LINC is an European LEADER conference that combines European experience sharing with sporting events. LINC was created as an initiative of local action groups (LAGs’) and national networks for rural development in Austria, Germany, Estonia and Finland. LAG Bura was the only representative from Croatia. There was 116 LAGs’ and 19 European Union countries were represented.
We exchanged project ideas with our European colleagues and talked about the many possibilities of cooperation with colleagues from Finland, Estonia, Germany, Austria and Poland. We also had an opportunity to see how LAGs’ operate in Luxembourg and acquire new information and experience. We had the honor to introduce ourselves and present project ideas and co-operation projects of LAG “Bura” with Fernando Etgen, the Luxembourg Minister for Agriculture, Viticulture and Consumer Protection.
Moreover, we had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Vianden, Marc Shaefer and the organizers of the following LINC conference in Finland, with who we hope to establish further collaboration. We participated in LINC “walk” in the province of Atert-Wark where we had the opportunity to meet Camille Gira from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and to visit the functional mill from the 19th century in Beckerich as well as the Ecology Learning Center Luxembourg.
